MANILA, Philippines -- The Gutierrez children have finally supported the decision of their mother Annabelle Rama to run as a representative of Cebu in the upcoming midterm elections in 2013, according to their father, veteran actor Eddie Gutierrez.
In his guesting on ABS-CBN's morning show "KrisTV," Gutierrez said he and the rest of their children are now behind Rama's political career.
"Annabelle, I know that you are really into this. Alam kong interesadong interesado kang magsilbi sa mga kababayan mo sa Cebu. Kaya ako I'm all out for you and now our children ay nagsu-support na din sa iyo, I'm very happy," Gutierrez said.
In a previous interview, Rama admitted that her plan to run next year does not sit well with children Ruffa and Raymond Gutierrez.

She said her Ruffa and Raymond are worried that her political plans may take a toll on her health and her job as a talent manager.
But Rama vowed that she will not be a “corrupt” politician, adding that she will still take care of her talents.
It can be recalled that Ruffa used Twitter to express her feelings after she received information that Rama was invited to run for Congress in Cebu.
"Mom excitedly tells me that she's being offered to run for Congresswoman in her hometown in Cebu. I'm like, whatttt?? Kaloka," she said.
Rama then replied to Gutierrez’ tweet, saying that it wasn’t her fault that she was offered to run for the North District of Cebu.
“Bakit ka ba na shocked! Kasalanan ko ba kung ako ang napili para sa North District of Cebu?” she said.
