"Alam mo noong August 3 may concert kami ni Marco at Hajji... after ng show may photo op kami, medyo parang nahihilo ako. Tsinek up ako. You know my sugar went up to 367 and believe it or not my blood pressure went up to 220 over 180. Sabi ng doktor dapat inatake ka na Rico," the veteran performer shared during his guesting on Tuesday for ABS-CBN's morning show "KrisTV."
"Pero alam mo hindi talaga. Siguro ang tigas ko talaga," he added.
Puno, 59, said his blood pressure went up because of high sugar levels, such that he has been advised to watch his diet.
"So bawal na ngayon 'yung sweets. Diet. I have to take only about 1,500 calories a day," he said.
No to politics
In the interview, Puno also clarified that he still has no plans of running in the 2013 elections.
Puno, one of the icons of OPM, served as a councilor in Makati City for almost a decade.
"Wala pa masyado. Matagal kasi akong nawala sa TV at saka sa performance. I'd been a councilor for nine years so medyo napabayaan ko 'yon. Pero ako ngayon ini-enjoy ko din ang mga kasama ko. Tama ang sabi kailangan may kasama ka... importanteng may kasama ka at 'yung mga children ko naman little by little they are trying to understand my situation," Puno said.
