MANILA - Excitement has been running high over the next season of "Pinoy Big Brother", and none more so than the show's host Toni Gonzaga.

Dubbed as "Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up", the most popular house in the country, is set to open this October. Gonzaga, together with Bianca Gonzales and Mariel Rodriguez, will host the program.

"I am really excited. It's called Double Up, but we really can't divulge any of the details yet," said Gonzaga, the show's pioneer host.

She said that the meaning of "Double Up" will be revealed "at the proper time."

"Gaya nga ng laging sinasabi ni Kuya ay malalaman natin bakit tatawagin siyang 'Double Up.' As of now, we are just really preparing and excited," Gonzaga said..

The actress-host vowed that the upcoming season will be full of fun, surprises and new challenges for the new bactch of housemates - just like every year.

"Matagal tagal na nagpahinga ang Pinoy Big Brother and we are back with a vengeance," Gonzaga said.

Big brother secrets

Being a host for so many years, Gonzaga said it has been very difficult to keep the Big Brother's secrets.

"Gusto ko talagang i-share. Kaya lang, hindi talaga pwede, kasi baka matanggal ako as host. So i-secret ko na lang, mahirap na," she said.

Gonzaga said she feels "happy and blessed" that she was kept on as a host.

"I'm just really thnakful and blessed na nandito pa din kami at gagawin pa din namin ang season. Kasi siguro isa sa masasabi ko na naging highlight ng career ko ay yung pagiging host ko ng Pinoy Big Brother. Dahil doon ako napansin at na-recognize as a host," she said.

Currently, Gonzaga is part of ABS-CBN's afternoon series "Ang Lalaking Nagmahal Sa Akin" with Derek Ramsay as her leading man.

Aside from doing the mini-series, Gonzaga is also a regular of ASAP '09 and a co-host of entertainment show "Entertainment Live."
