Batangas Governor Vilma Santos

MANILA, Philippines -- Batangas Governor Vilma Santos received award from President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III on Wednesday morning at Malacanang.

Santos, dubbed the "Star for All Seasons" and known for being a good public servant, was given the 2012 Lingkod Bayan award, the highest honor given by the Civil Service Commission.

On Twitter, Santos' son Luis Manzano said he accompanied her mother at the ceremony.
