MANILA - Actor Jericho Rosales spent his 30th birthday last Tuesday, September 22, with patients at the National Children's Hospital in Quezon City as a way to "share his blessings."

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Rosales said that he was happy to spend time with people in need and that his birthday wishes included the speedy recovery of ill children. He vowed to visit them regularly.

"Hindi lang mainly kailangan nila ay gamot o dugo kailangan din nila ng entertainment, ng galak, ng saya para ma-uplift ang spirit nila. Kailangan nila minsan ng music. Kasi siyempre hospital ito lagi lang silang nasa kwarto," Rosales said.

The actor who also prayed for the strength of the sick children's parents, added that the experience was painful at the onset but that he resolved to show strength and positive attitudes to inspire the children.

"Una masakit. Iiyak ka talaga. Pero after a while, naiintindihan mo na ang purpose ng ginagawa mo at nakakatulong naman," he said.

Rosales, the lead star of ABS-CBN's hit show "Dahil May Isang Ikaw" with former girlfriend Kristine Hermosa said that he could not ask for more, career-wise. The show reportedly scored high in the ratings.

He also said that he is still "patiently waiting" for a new love in his life.

"Wala akong hihilingin sa trabaho ko dahil maganda ang trabaho ko. Love life, darating din yan. Wala pa eh. Ang hiling ko lang na patuoy ako maka-inspire ng tao at makatulong sa kanila. Kahit sa ginagawa kong trabaho, kasi kapag napapanood nila ako ay natutuwa na sila," he said.
