MANILA - Filipino singer Madonna Decena will hold an international concert with her new manager, boxing champion Manny 'Pacman' Pacquiao in November.

Decena rose to fame courtesy of the United Kingdom's popular talent show, "Britain's Got Talent (BGT)" where she reached the semi-finals last year.

In an exclusive interview with abs-cbnNEWS.com, Decena said she's excited about her first US show with Pacquiao, which will be held on November 15 in Las Vegas.

"Yes, sa November 15, sa concert niya sa Las Vagas. Kasama kami nila Lito Camo and Manny Pacquiao," Decena said.

Decena, who came home last week, is the recent addition to Pacquiao's roster of talents.

Madonna said she's already preparing for their first big project.

"Yes, we have to prepare for that. Ayaw ko naman siyempreng mapahiya. Siyempre, gusto ko naman eh maganda ang launching noon, o yung ating performance doon," Decena said.

The singer also shared that she is determined to lose weight for the upcoming concert.

"I have to (lose weight). In UK, I was considered very small kasi they are big, pero here, parang hindi okay kasi parang we are like 14 lbs. bigger on TV... I really have to lose weight," she said.

Decena said she's really happy now that the world's pound-for-pound champion is managing her career.

"It's different, great feeling. Siyempre siya ‘yung nagbigay ng opportunity sa akin para bumalik at magkaroon ng career dito, so it's a good thing na siyempre nakakapag-trabaho ka at nandiyan ‘yung mga anak mo din sa tabi mo," she said.

Decena, who has two young daughters, said she will be forever grateful to BGT for paving the way for her instant popularity.

Aside from preparing for the concert, Decena will be making TV appearances and spending quality time with her family.

On Friday, September 24, Decena guested and performed Gloria Gaynor’s hit “I Will Survive” in ABS-CBN’s morning show “Umagang Kay Ganda.”

The concert will most likely

The concert will most likely be for the Filipino community in Vegas so it shouldn't be called "international". Good luck to her.

Just a thought

I'd been here in the UK when she had her stint at BGT and I was proud when she was chosen to be in the semi- finals. However, I always thought she was not good enough to make it big, however, I was surprised when I saw her performance on the internet somewhere in London, so I retracted what I said, she's good enough to make it big. Seeing her performance on this newsclip confrirms that she is indeed good but she should pronounce words clearly. I wouldn't have understood a single word in her song if the song was not famous. Thank God I knew the lyrics and the caption is there but hey, just an advice, sing the lyrics, don't chew them...

AAahh.

Kala ko THE Madonna.
