The office of Senator Manny Villar announced that the "Rockatropa" concert to be held on Saturday night at the SM Mall of Asia has been cancelled due to tropical storm "Ondoy."

Villar's office said it will advise fans of famous bands to be featured in the concert of the event's new schedule.

"The Rockatropa show tonight is cancelled due to bad weather conditions," the senator's office said.

The concert which will feature bands including Parokya ni Edgar, Itchyworms, Kamikazee, Sandwich, and Bamboo was supposed to be held at 6 p.m.

The concert's hosts are Cristine Reyes and Wowowee host Valerie Concepcion, and Bubble Gang’s ‘Iyo Tube’ sensation Moymoy Palaboy.

The senator, who is running for president in 2010, is sponsoring the concert as part of his "Akala Mo" campaign.
