Want to watch 'Alagwa'? Nationwide release set
MANILA - The award-winning indie film "Alagwa" starring Jericho Rosales is set to hit theaters nationwide next month.
The film about human trafficking will be shown in cinemas in different parts of the country starting October 9.
On Instagram, Rosales shared his excitement over the release of "Alagwa," which has been rated "A" by the Cinema Evaluation Board.
"Graded "A" by the Cinema Evaluation Board (of the Philippines) !!! Thank you so much CEB!!! I'm getting totally excited for everyone to watch our film! Congrats @alagwamovie team!!! God is awesome! Great birthday gift!" said Rosales, who celebrated his birthday last Sunday.
"Alagwa" won several awards at the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) International Film Festival and the Philippine Movie Press Club.
The movie was also shown at the Newport Beach Film Festival in the United States early this year, which recognized Rosales' performance in the film.
