Kris Aquino removed from 'Pilipinas, Win na Win'

MANILA, Philippines (1st UPDATE) - Controversial TV host Kris Aquino confirmed Tuesday that she is leaving ABS-CBN's afternoon variety show "Pilipinas, Win na Win."
In her official Twitter page, the Philippines' "Queen of All Media" said she did not resign or quit but was asked to leave the show just 2 months after its launch.
"I didn't resign or quit. I was asked to leave Win to make room for new male hosts. I'm honest & humble enough to not lie about the true situation," she said in her Twitter page.
In her interview with ABS-CBN News, she added: “Empleyado lang naman ako. It was management’s decision na gusto nilang sumubok ng all male hosts muna... Alam ko na hindi lahat ibibigay sa’yo. Sinubukan ko tong noontime. Sa pananaw ng management, na ni-rerespeto ko, may iba silang panlasang hinahanap.”
On Tuesday afternoon, Bong Osorio, head of ABS-CBN Corporate Communications, issued an official statement to announce that "Hitmakers" Rico J. Puno, Rey Valera, Marco Sison and Nonoy Zuñiga will replace the TV host-actress starting October 2.
"Pilipinas Win na Win" has been plagued by timeslot changes and low ratings since replacing its top-rating predecessor, "Wowowee," last July 31.
Aquino, who is President Benigno Aquino III's youngest sister, is the third Win na Win host to leave the show. Actor Robin Padilla and TV host Mariel Rodriguez also went on indefinite leave from the show to get married.
Aquino said her last day on the show will be on October 1. She said she will be shooting some commercials in the next few weeks while waiting for the script of Star Cinema's new movie "Dalaw."
A tabloid report said Aquino will soon return to hosting her game show "Kapamilya Deal or No Deal."
"I'm gonna give myself some time to de-stress, de-compress & pray. Doing my version of Eat Pray Love. Mine is Exercise, Pray Heal," she tweeted.
In an interview, she added that leaving the daily noontime program will give her more time to focus on her personal life.
She said: “Alam ninyo naman may nadagdag sa annulment petition and it’s true na napag-usapan na ang aspetong pinansyal…. Maraming bagay sa personal na buhay ko na kailangan kong ayusin. The next few weeks ibibigay ko sa sarili ko.”
Aquino is currently in a legal battle to have her 5-year marriage to basketball star James Yap annulled. They have one son, baby James. –With a report from Marie Lozano, ABS-CBN News

Too Much
Why do they need so much hosts when a few could do the job. Not that people get tired of seeing their faces every time. Maybe it is because of the current economic downturn. They want to hire more people to stabilize the economy. lol

This is just my opinion,
This is just my opinion, started to watch Wowowee last year, it was a nice noon time show. Sana pinalitan na lang ang title but the same format. People like to watch talented contestants but I noticed during the last few Wowowee episodes basta kumukuha na lang sila ng contestants without talents so nagiging boring ang show. I think Pokwang can handle the show kailangan lang syang idevelop(little bit), more sympathy sa contestants and she can relate dahil sa pinagdaanan nya sa buhay, okay nga yung combination nila ni Marielle. In fairness to Kris, di naman talaga fit sa PNWW she’s more on talk show, and she admitted that right after she quit her talk shows in one of her interviews na hindi sya sure if she will do well sa next show nya. Let us not forget during Ondoy, Kris was the first celebrity who came out on TV to solicit donation from the big corporations to help the victims. It was a sincere gesture and she deserved respect for that action.

ABS-CBN are you reading all my suggestions from the beggining?I hope that you are able to read this message too.Your network really made a bad move removing the show WOWOWEE.I don't know if it is already too late.Does it really take four new host to run a show to match it with WOWOWEE?Do this wright.Will you just bring WOWOWEE back if you are hiring Willie's friends.I'm telling you that you will have more viewers than before.This new show will not last long,it might end at the begging of next year the most.BELIEVE ME!May god help your network.
kris removed from win na win
Kris Aquino was gracious enough to accept abscbn decision to removed her from win na win.This is the first time it happened to her considering she made a lot of shows very popular and made money for abscbn for the last 2o years.I hope its is not politically motivated in the aftermath of hostage crisis wherin one of abscbn reporter who interviewed Captain Mendoza could be in Iirc recommendation to be discipline or charged.Pres.Aquino have not made a decision yet on this matter.I hope i am wrong but lets wait.

Bad Move in removing Kris
Those are friends of Hambog na Willie R. THe were invited by Willie before and they have no manners and they talk dirty to women; they touched them which is sex discrimination. If ABS bring Willie bac, I assure you that I will no longer be a TFC subscriber

GAMES IN PWNW NOT EXCITING - NOT KRIS FAULT
The games are not exciting to the TV audience. What is so exciting about people trying to open a door? What is amusing about ordinary people trying to act in so stupid situation. Who is interested in knowing the love life of participants who are not celebrities. Ang hilig ni Kris na magtanong sa love life ng contestants na yaman ng bayan na hindi naman celebrity. Anong interest namin sa love life ng ordinary participants? The producers should take the pulse of the audience outside the studio. Also puro bading ang mga supporting casts. Oops except Jason. Buti na lang nadiyan si Jason. I like you Jason.
ABS-CBN's problem with low
ABS-CBN's problem with low ratings is not due to the host or to Kris Aquino, but due to the program itself. Unlike WWW, PWNW drags on. What PWNW needs are games that keep the audience in and out of the studio engaged. I don't think bringing those 4 guys will help. With Rico Puno in it, he will drag PWNW down like a slippery slope. He was with WWW before and he stunk.
