Vice Ganda reacts to Aquino's exit from MMFF movie
MANILA, Philippines - Comedian Vice Ganda has finally reacted to the report that his friend, actress-host Kris Aquino, backed out from doing "Sisteraka", which was supposed to be their first movie together.
He said he only found out recently that Aquino dropped out of the movie, which is an entry to this year's Metro Manila Film Festival.
"Hindi ko nga rin alam na nag-back out siya, late ko na lang nalaman. 'Yun po ang dahilan, 'yung health problem," the comedian shared.
Early this week, Aquino confirmed via Twitter that she had backed out from "Sisteraka", a joint production of Star Cinema and Viva Films.
The actress-host, dubbed as the country's "Queen of All Media," cited health problems.
Vice Ganda also referred to Aquino's tweets as he reacted to the issue.
"Kung pina-follow niyo si Kris sa Twitter, siya mismo ang nagsabi dahil sa health problems," he said.
Aquino will be replaced by comedienne Ai-Ai delas Alas in "Sisteraka".
The actress-host is busy with her hosting stint on morning talk show "Kris TV", her upcoming series titled "Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw" with Anne Curtis and Robin Padilla, and her return to the judges' table on the new season of "Pilipinas Got Talent", which starts next month.
