Some people may frown at actors, singers and television hosts doing charity work but singer Yeng Constantino believes that artists play a significant role in the success of every humanitarian effort.

Beyond the photoshoots, autograph signing and screaming fans, celebrities have the power to influence others to help those who are less fortunate.

Constantino, fellow Pinoy Dream Academy scholar Ronnie Liang, actors Maja Salvador, Melissa Ricks and Matt Evans led ABS-CBN’s BayaniJuan feeding program held at Bagong Bayan Elementary School in Sta Cruz, Laguna on Tuesday.

This was the second time that Constantino joined the feeding program. She was also present when ABS-CBN launched the project in Pampanga.

Hindi lang para magpa-picture or anything,” she said.

The first Pinoy Dream Academy Grand Star Dreamer also said participating in charity work is her way of sharing her blessings with other people. She said she feels blessed by the opportunity to bring joy to people especially children through her music.

Masarap ‘yong experience na may natututulungan akong tao,” she said.
