Actress Ara Mina came to the defense of her younger sister, sexy star Cristine Reyes, after rumors came out that the young actress had tried to commit suicide.

“Wala, overfatigue lang… alam mo naman iyan kapag artista ka sasabihin ganito o ganyan pero wala, walang katotohanan,” she said.

Ara said Cristine's hectic schedule was taking a toll on her health. Cristine currently stars in three ABS-CBN shows namely Eva Fonda, Iisa Pa Lamang and the upcoming Banana Split.

Ara also criticized reports that said Cristine had suicidal tendencies. “Buti pa sila alam nila, ako hindi. Hindi ganoon ang kapatid ko at may sarili siyang pag-iisip, alam niya ang tama at hindi. Hindi ganoon ang kapatid ko,” she said.

Ara Mina (Hazel Pascual Reyes in real life) said she believes that people envious of Reyes’s success were creating controversies to destroy her image.

The actress said that being a protective and loving sister, she will always be there for Reyes as long as her sibling needs her.

“Nandito lang ang ate at kung gusto niya akong makausap, ganoon naman iyon. Marunong na akong dumistansiya para hindi na kami nagka-conflict,” she said.
