ABS-CBN News' Star Patroller Phoemela Barranda was hurt after her vehicle crashed into a street light post in Urdaneta Village along EDSA in Makati City, early Saturday.

Reports said Barranda was with her rumored boyfriend, band member Ira Cruz, when the incident happened around 2:00 a.m. The couple was on board a Ford Escape (XMX-718).

The reports added that Urdaneta Village's security guard Mike Gil Bareto was the first to respond to the accident. He said Barranda immediately identified herself and ask him to call for a towing service.

A movie personality reportedly fetched the couple from the area and brought them to Makati Medical Center, where they were treated for their wounds.

News gathered by ABS-CBN News said Barranda is safe and was resting at her home.
