'I Dare You' returns with new season, hosts
MANILA -- Two years after it first aired, the ABS-CBN reality show "I Dare You" is returning to TV screens for a second season and with a new set of hosts.
The first season of "I Dare You" ran for three months from July to October 2011 and was hosted by Jericho Rosales, Iya Villania and Melisa Cantiveros.
The new season, which will air starting October 12, is now hosted by John Prats, Deniesse Joaquin and Robi Domingo, joining Cantiveros, who is the only holdover from the first season.
In the show's first season, each episode is focused on an "everyday Filipino," whether an individual, family or community, who is referred as the Bidang Kapamilya and have inspiring stories to share about their daily struggles.
Celebrity guests are then "dared" to experience the challenges of these people and win prizes for the Bidang Kapamilya.
Prats said the show will still continue to help Filipinos in need with the help of guest celebrities, known as Celebrity Kakampi.
Echoing what Prats said, Joaquin also mentioned that the new season will be more "in depth."
Ngayon kinikilala talaga," she said.
