Ryan Bang voted out of 'Showtime'; Dimples gives her seat

MANILA, Philippines –The longest-running “Showtime” Hurado, Ryan Bang, was voted out of the show on Saturday.

“Showtime” hosts, especially Vice Ganda and Anne Curtis, ended up in tears as Bang bid goodbye to all the friends he made in the past 48 weeks.

Moved by the emotional episode, “Showtime” Hurado Dimples Romana selflessly offered her seat to Bang.

“I saw how much you love Ryan and since I still have my seat I think I have the power to give Ryan back my seat. Ryan will have my seat. Ryan is a good man he deserves so much more and I hope po na maging masaya kayong lahat sa pagbabalik ni Ryan,” she said.

She announced: “Effective Monday, I will be out of ‘Showtime’ and Ryan will take my seat.”

Bang accepted the offer. “Ate Dimples, maraming salamat po. Thank you so much. Maraming-maraming salamat,” he said in between sobs.

On her last day as a “Showtime” Hurado, Romana extended her sincerest thanks to the whole “Showtime” family.

“Gusto ko pong magpasalamat sa lahat sa inyo. Alam niyo po, ang hindi ma-vote out ang isang Hurado ng 5 linggo palampas pa ay sobra-sobra na pong regalo. Sobra-sobrang kabutihan na po ng buong ‘Showtime’ sa akin. Hindi ko na po magawang humiling ng sobra-sobra.”

Cheap Show's Act

Such a cheap show's act. Or a cheap performer's idea to catch attention to be on the news. Did he or anybody from the show realize that there are also other 2.9 million filipinos that are jobless? There's no logic for him to cry on television especially if the show is for entertainment (happy) purpose. He should be grateful to have a job for 48 weeks. Other filipinos may not have even a single day. But to cry on national television simply because your employment contract is finished is such a crap.

All the while I thought Ryan was a regular at Showtime. I think being voted out as "hurado" open doors for fresh opportunities for him. If for some reason the Showtime family wants him there permanently, it would be best not to put him in the voting list kasi it defeats the purpose of the people voting someone out if he/she deems indispensable.
