How Sunshine stays beautiful amid legal battle
Sunshine still open to being friends with Cesar
MANILA – There's no denying that actress Sunshine Cruz is blooming these days despite her legal battles in connection with her failed marriage with actor Cesar Montano.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News on Tuesday, Cruz attributed her glowing aura to her decision to stay positive.
“Kailangan lang positive lagi sa buhay. Mahirap talaga dahil sa mga pinagdadaanan ko pero wala naman akong ibang option but to be positive. I have my kids. Mahirap naman kung magmumukmok. Binigyan ko ng expiration date ang pagmumukmok ko, sabi ko after this date, tama na,” she said.
Saying she has now moved on, Cruz said she would rather focus on work to save money for the future of her children.
Cruz said she no longer wants to discuss her failed because talking about it in public only adds fuel to the fire.
“I’ve said na my piece sa ‘The Buzz.’ As much as possible, tapos na.
Asked if she is open to become friends with Montano in the future, she said: “In God’s time, why not? May tatlo kaming anak eh. Pero for now, to be honest with everyone, wala kaming communication and parang mahirap gawin.”
In fact, Cruz said she wants to prove that ex-spouses could also be friends despite being separated.
I really tried. God know’s I tried,” she said.
Because of this ordeal, Cruz said she has learned many things also.
“I learned to appreciate a lot of things now like friends na talagang nandiyan sa akin at masasabi kong kaibigan ko talaga. Before talaga, immature ako. Mabilis akong madiktahan ng tao. Before, dependent akong tao. Pero nung nakipaghiwalay ako, I can now make my stand,” she explained.
