MANILA - Actress Maja Salvador has denied reports that young actor Coco Martin is wooing her.

In an inteview during the press conference of "Nagsimula sa Puso" with Martin as one of her leading men, Salvador told members of entertainment press that she and Martin are just friends.

Salvador said she enjoys working with Martin, who is now considered one of the top actors of his generation.

She also said she feels nervous doing scenes with the actor.

"Kay Coco, mas sobrang kinakabahan ako kasi grabe naman talaga. Aktor na aktor si Coco. Natutuwa ako kay Coco dahil inaalagaan ako at inaalalayan niya ako sa bawat eksena, at kinakausap niya ako sa kung anong gagawin namin," she said.

In "Nagsimula sa Puso," Salvador bids goodbye to her sweet roles as she plays the character of Celina, a woman who lives with her strict mother. She eventually falls for Jay, played by Martin.

Maja welcomed the more challenging role in the movie.

"Noong binigay sa akin itong 'Nagsimula sa Puso,' talagang kung ano ang kaya kong gawin at kaya kong ibigay ay ibibigay ko po. Bale nanood ako ng mga Hollywood movies kung paano ang atake nila doon (yong movies) like yung Original Sin [ni Angelina Jolie]," Salvador said.

"Nagsimula sa Puso" premieres on October 12 after "Wowowee."
