Apl.de.ap scores US break for Slapshock
Pinoy band to work with music group of Rihanna, Beyonce
MANILA – Home-grown heavy metal band Slapshock is heading to the United States for a recording project.
The band will collaborate with the music group of popular artists like Rihanna and Beyonce.
The big break materialized with the help of Fil-American rapper apl.de.ap of the Black Eyed Peas, who said he believes in the talent of Filipinos and that the band deserves this chance.
"I just want to congratulate the boys and I'm excited for them to record their materials in LA," apl.de.ap said.
Slapshock vocalist Jamir Garcia, on the other hand, said they will do their best to make the country proud.
"We are honored and we want to dedicate this to our fellow musicians. We were struggling back then but we never gave up. Pagbubutihin namin," he said. -- with ANC
