Sharon denies rumored separation with Kiko

Megastar Sharon Cuneta dismissed rumors about the supposedly imminent break-up of her marriage with Senator Francisco “Kiko” Pangilinan. The rumors circulated while Cuneta was in Hong Kong with daughter KC (her child from her previous marriage--already annulled--to actor Gabby Concepcion) and friend celebrity hairstylist Fannie Serrano.

Cuneta returned to Manila on Friday and told reporters, “Whoever started the ‘intriga’ should end it, so I can reach the ending.” Asked about the reason for her leaving in the first place, the Megastar just said, “Burn out.”

The senator himself picked up Cuneta, KC and Serrano from the airport. He refused to go on camera and declined to make a statement.

According to unverified reports, Cuneta abruptly left her home Monday night for Hong Kong together with daughters Frankie and Miel.

Many were puzzled by her disappearance because she was supposedly scheduled to sing at a Senators’ party at the Manila Hotel Tuesday night. Both she and Senator Pangilinan were no-shows at the event. An issue about alleged "financial problems" was also mentioned in the tabloids.

The Megastar however pointed out to reporters that contrary to the rumors, she did not have Frankie and Miel (her daughters by Pangilinan) with her and it was so obvious that the reports contained so much misinformation. Cuneta refused to make any more statements regarding the rumors.
