Pinoy Biggest Loser hopes to join PNP fitness program

MANILA, Philippines - After losing an astonishing 101 pounds in 5 months, Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition grand winner Larry Martin now wants to help fellow policemen lose weight.
Martin, a former police officer, said he wants to be part of the Philippine National Police's physical fitness program.
Martin said he wants to be an inspiration to policemen.
On Monday afternoon, PNP leadership said they are open to having Martin back in the service.
PNP Chief Nicanor Bartolome said they will take a closer look at PO1 Martin’s record since the police force might have the right job for him.
If he returns to the PNP, Bartolome said he might be assigned in the physical fitness unit as he would be a good role model to his fellow policemen.
Martin left the PNP in March 2002 because he knew could not pass the “34-inch waistline policy” of former PNP chief and now Senator Panfilo Lacson.
Five months ago, Martin joined “Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition” weighing 255 pounds. Last Saturday, he weighed 154 lbs, losing 101 pounds.
