MANILA – Almost a hundred Star Magic artists and models, including more than 60 of the country's best designers, have lent their time and talent to a benefit fashion show.

On Sunday, Star Magic artists went all out in their "Magic for A Cause" event, a fund-raising fashion show that aimed to raise more donations for victims of tropical storms Ondoy (Ketsana) and Pepeng (Parma).

“Iyong event na ito ay gagawin namin for the love sa mga nangangailangan,” actress Roxanne Guinoo said.

Young actor Matt Evans added: “We’re doing this for a cause para sa mga binagyo.”

“Siyempre, I am more than willing to help,” Bea Alonzo said.

All that goodwill appeared to be paying off.

Star Magic's latest tally showed that the fashion show managed to raise at least P3.1 million in cash and P2 million in goods and services. -Gretchen Fullido, ABS-CBN News
