Marian Rivera flies as Wonder Woman
MANILA -- Here's a familiar sight: Marian Rivera as a superheroine. This time, however, she's wearing red and blue as the American comics icon Wonder Woman.
A photo of the 29-year-old actress as the warrior princess was unveiled Monday on lensman Jay Tablante's Facebook page, a month after Rivera first teased the project via social media.
Rivera's transformation as Wonder Woman, which was photographed by Tablante, appears in the latest issue of photography magazine Digital Photographers Philippines.
For her superheroine look -- which includes the iconic golden breastplate, tiara and bracelets -- Rivera was styled by Hannah Kim with costume production by Badj Genato. Her hair and make-up were done by Ara Fernando.
Heading art direction were Bob Cruz, Joe Dy and Javey Villones, with props and production design by Guy Singzon and Raffy Tesoro, respectively.
The digital imaging, or the post-production effects, were done by Mooo Digital Production.
Rivera's Wonder Woman portrayal follows her popular take on the Filipino comics hero Darna, as seen in the GMA-7 series aired in 2009.
