MANILA - Host-actress Ruffa Gutierrez is set to star in a new horror film titled "Ukay Ukay."

The former beauty queen is busy practicing some stunts for the film, some of which require her to wear a harness. "Actually it’s my first time na mag-harness or lumilipad-lipad sa ere. Something new for me," Gutierrez said.

The film is an episode in the hit horror franchise "Shake, Rattle & Roll" under Regal Films.

"SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon" reported that "Shake Rattle & Roll II" is one of the entries of Regal Films for this year's Metro Manila Film Festival.

"Itong 'Shake, Rattle & Roll', at 'yong episode namin na 'Ukay Ukay', masasabi ko it's very physically challenging. [Ito ay kung] bakit kailangang panoorin niyo ang movie," Gutierrez said.

Aside from stunts, the movie also marks the reunion of Gutierrez with her former boyfriend Zoren Legaspi, who is now the husband of her good friend, actress Carmina Villaroel.

In the interview, Gutierrez said that she is thrilled to work with Legaspi, whom she says has matured as an actor. She said her project with Legaspi will be free of intrigues.

“Alam mo, wala namang intriga sa amin dahil siyempre kumare ko si Carmina. We are good friends. And even with Zoren, excited ako to work with him kasi through the years, talagang nag-impove ang acting niya. Ngayon nakikita ko na may depth na sya (as an actor). I'm sure na it's gonna be fun sa set," she said.

Gutierrez added that she is open to doing "intimate scenes" with Legaspi, if the script calls for it. "Hindi ko alam kay direk. May intimate moments kami, pero siyempre done in good taste," she said.
