Amy Perez, Roderick return to ABS-CBN - report
MANILA – Amy Perez and Roderick Paulate will soon be seen on ABS-CBN again, according to a report on Thursday.
In an article on the showbiz website, Pep.ph, Perez confirmed that she will be returning to the Kapamilya network but not to join the morning program, “Umagang Kay Ganda,” as rumored earlier.
Perez said she and Paulate will be hosting the game show, “The Singing Bee,” which ran for five successful seasons from April 2008 to February 2010. The show, which features contestants trying to remember the lyrics to popular songs, was previously hosted by actor Cesar Montano.
Both Perez and Paulate were seen during the special “ASAP” presentation for the Grand Kapamilya Weekend, celebrating the 60 years of ABS-CBN. Perez appeared with the original hosts of “Sa Linggo Na Po Sila” and the cast of the sitcom "Palibhasa Lalake," while Paulate reunited with his “Tonight with Dick and Carmi” co-star, sexy actress Carmi Martin.
In the interview with Pep.ph, Perez also opened up on her decision to leave the No. 3 network TV5, saying she chose to have “peace of mind” over “financial gain.”
“At the end of the day, alam mo 'yung 'pag di ka na masaya, talagang mas pipiliin mo ang peace of mind kesa financial gain,” she told the website. "Kaya ako na lang umiwas para na rin happy lahat.”
Last September 21, TV5 released a statement saying the network and Perez have “mutually agreed to part ways.”
