Arnel Pineda, Katy Perry team up for storm victims
MANILA – Arnel Pineda and American pop singer Katy Perry are all set to rock the house at the SM Mall of Asia open grounds in Pasay City next month.
Perry will fly to the Philippines for the November 14 benefit show here.
Perry is behind the hit songs “I Kissed A Girl,” “Ur So Gay,” and “Hot N Cold.”
Pineda told “The Buzz” Sunday that, aside from them, fellow “Journey” member Neal Schon (guitarist) will also perform in the concert.
“Lahat ng kikitain mapupunta sa victims ng [tropical storms] Ondoy at Pepeng,” Pineda said.
On Sunday, Pineda handed over a $25,000 check to “The Buzz” host Kris Aquino. Pineda's foundation raised the money to help the flood victims, especially the children.
Recently, apl.de.ap of the Black Eyed Peas also held a concert for the benefit of Ondoy and Pepeng victims.
Malaysian actress Carmen Soo, meantime, spent her birthday distributing relief goods to the affected communities.
