MANILA, Philippines - Actress-host Kris Aquino hopes to find her Mr. Right as the country welcomes the French Prime Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault, his wife, and his 130-member delegation today.
On her morning talk show "Kris TV," Aquino joked that she might meet her future husband at a state dinner in Malacañang.
Aquino is the youngest sister of President Benigno Aquino III.
"Tonight, ako na naman 'yung mage-entertain sa misis ng French Prime Minister," she said.
"So, Anne (Curtis) 'di ba kanina I was telling you 'ayan na 'yung mapapangasawa ko, tonight ko mami-meet.' Hindi ba I told you, 'oh akala mo ikaw lang ang may French ha,'" Aquino told her guest on the show, actress Anne Curtis, who is in a relationship with Filipino-French Erwan Heussaff.
The visibly excited Aquino also tried speaking French words during the show.
"Ay naku basta, ewan ko sa inyo, malay niyo talaga. Hindi ba Anne I told you dapat it was my sister na taga-gawa nito kaya lang her husband had an open heart surgery. Baka destiny kaya biglang ako ang nag-stand in ngayon, malay niyo. Kapag nangyari 'yan ha. And kung by next year sa France na ako nakatira ewan ko sa inyo," she told her guest co-hosts Jason Francisco and Melai Cantiveros, who have been teasing her during the show.
The Department of Foreign Affairs earlier said the three-day visit will be highlighted by a meeting in Malacañang between the French Prime Minister and President Aquino, who will reciprocate the honor bestowed on his mother, former President Cory Aquino, when she visited France in 1989.
Both leaders are expected to exchange views on moving bilateral relations forward, as well as on regional and multilateral issues.
Last month, Aquino joked that she might end up marrying a Japanese billionaire.
Also during her show, Aquino singled out Kazuo Okada, one of the four investors granted a license to operate a casino in Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp.'s Entertainment City.
She made the statement after it was reported by The Philippine Star that ABS-CBN recently incorporated ABS-CBN Theme Parks and Resort Holdings Inc. with an initial capital of P270 million.
"Ayun, eto 'yung Japanese billionaire. Chiz, ito na 'yung mapapangasawa ko," Aquino jokingly told Senator Francis "Chiz" Escudero, who was then a guest co-host on "Kris TV."
"Sa ABS ko siya makikilala. Eto o, Kazuo Okada."
Asked by Escudero if she knows how Okada looks like, Aquino said: "Hindi pa. Pero ito na 'yun, I feel it. Ito na 'yung sinabi sa akin. ABS-CBN, I'm sure dito ko siya makakasalubong."
"I'm going to have a theme park. Krissy Land. Yay diba?" she added, laughing.
To which Escudero said, "Good luck."
In 2010, Aquino announced her separation from ex-husband James Yap, a professional basketball player. In February 2012, their marriage was annulled.
