Tearful Judai in first 'Master Chef' PH trailer
MANILA, Philippines -- The Philippine edition of the hit reality cooking show "Master Chef" will not only feature the culinary skills of aspiring Pinoy chefs, but also the motivation behind their dreams.
In the first trailer for the series released online Friday via ABS-CBN's official account on video-sharing site YouTube, contestants are seen going through challenges both as cooks on the show and in their personal lives.
"Master Chef: Pinoy Edition" is the local version of the global franchise that originated in the United Kingdom.
Last year, the kiddie edition of the show, "Junior Master Chef," gave young talented Pinoys a chance at pursuing their culinary dreams.
Early this month, ABS-CBN formally launched the adult version of the show, via the network's trade event show titled "A Beautiful Affair."
Young superstar Judy Ann Santos, host of the "junior" edition, will reprise her role in "Master Chef."
Returning as judges are professional Filipino chefs Fern Aracama, Rolando Laudico, and JP Anglo, who also joined Santos on stage during the trade event.
"Master Chef" is set to join the "Umaganda" line-up of ABS-CBN, airing at 10:30 a.m. before the top-rating series "Be Careful With My Heart." The cooking show is expected to premiere later this year.
