MANILA, Philippines - Jinkee, wife of boxing champion Manny Pacquiao, said that she is lucky not to be the "other woman."
“Suwerte ko (I’m lucky that) I’m the original, not the other woman,” Jinkee told Philboxing.com as her reaction over the latest controversy saying that Pacquiao had an affair with another woman. Media reports showed the boxer had attended the baptismal of his alleged love child.
Rumors that Pacquiao fathered a love child started when the congressman stood as godfather during the baptismal of Kat Ordoñez's child.
Jinkee said that the issue is a form of distraction to her husband, who is now busy preparing for his fight against Juan Manuel Marquez on November 12 in Las Vegas.
“This rumor is a distraction and a destruction. It will only slow and hurt Manny. I don’t want him to worry,” Jinkee said.
Jinkee stressed that after the controversy involving Pacquiao and actress Krista Ranillo, she's now confident that her husband will remain loyal to their marriage.
“I love my husband very much. I trust him, because he promised he will not get involved with anyone anymore, after Krista,” she said.
To show her support, Jinkee is set to watch husband's latest bout. She will be flying to Las Vegas on November 5.
She's also set to have a business meeting with hotel heiress and socialite Paris Hilton.
Two weeks ago, Jinkee appeared to have backed off from her dare to give an Hermès bag to anyone who can present proof that Pacquiao has another woman.
