MANILA - If Derek Ramsay and Gretchen Barretto want to do a film project together, Ramsay's girlfriend Angelica Panganiban won't object.

Panganiban said she trusts Ramsay enough to conduct himself well should any project with Barretto push through.

“Wala naman akong nararamdaman tungkol doon. Okay lang sa akin ‘yon kung mag-trabaho sila. Wala naman pinaparamdam sa akin si Derek na kahit ano, kung hindi 'yong security sa kanya,” Panganiban told “SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon.”

Barretto publicly stated that she admired Ramsay, who has been dating Panganiban for over 3 years, and that she wants him to be "her leading man."

"I like to work with him. He doesn’t look so young, (kasi) ayaw ko ng masyadong young ang leading man ko,” Barretto said in prior interviews.

Last August, it was announced that Ramsay will star in Barretto's upcoming ABS-CBN television series. Barretto's sister Claudine will also be part of the project.

In a previous interview with abs-cbnNEWS.com, Ramsay said he was flattered to be asked to work with Barretto.

He said he is positive that "there won’t be a boring moment" with the bubbly, albeit controversial, actress.

“It's humbling that a compliment like that comes from a successful actress. So, if given an opportunity to work with her, I'll be there. I will do it," he said.
