MANILA, Philippines - After months of denying rumors that he is no longer happy with Shaina Magdayao, hunk actor John Lloyd Cruz admitted that his relationship with the actress is on the rocks.

"To be honest, hindi maganda ang bagay bagay ngayon. 'Yon lang ang masasabi ko. Ang mga bagay ngayon, they are not looking good," Cruz said in an interview during his contract signing with ABS-CBN on Monday.

Cruz made it clear, however, that this has nothing to do with any of his ex-girlfriends particularly Ruffa Gutierrez, who allegedly lambasted Magdayao via microblogging site Twitter.

"Hindi. Walang kinalaman. Walang kinalaman 'yon doon.

The actor refused to give further details.

At this point, the best thing for me to do is to keep quiet," he said.

Asked if he is still in love with Magdayao, Cruz told abs-cbnNEWS.com: "Oo naman.

"I can only hope for the best, di lang sa sarili ko kung di sa aming dalawa," he added.

Still a Kapamilya

Meanwhile, Cruz shared his excitement over working with the Kapamilya network for another three years.

He admitted that before he renewed his contract with ABS-CBN, he received tempting offers from another network.

"[I'm] Looking forward to the new projects. In the next three years I will be here. Tatlong taon 'yon at madami kang pag-iisipan at gagawin," Cruz said.

"Nagkaroon ng offer. Medyo tempting talaga.

Cruz is currently doing a film with Angel Locsin and is set to have a television series with Bea Alonzo.
