'She's the One' hits P100-M mark
MANILA – Actress Bea Alonzo had more reasons to celebrate her birthday after her latest movie “She’s the One” passed the P100-million mark in the local box office on its second week in theaters.
The good news was announced on “ASAP” on Sunday, where Alonzo celebrated her birthday.
“I am so happy. Thank you po sa mga nanood,” said Alonzo, who turned 26 last October 17. “Eto ang pinakamagandang birthday gift sa akin.”
The romantic-comedy film featuring the team-up of Alonzo, Dingdong Dantes and Enrique Gil, which is among the 20th anniversary offerings of the ABS-CBN's Star Cinema, earned P12 million after its opening day on October 16.
The P100-million box-office figure was also announced by Star Cinema on its Twitter account on Sunday.

Directed by Mae Cruz and written by Vanessa Valdez, "She's the One" tells the story of best friends Wacky (Dantes) and Cat (Alonzo), whose complicated relationship takes a turn when he unwittingly helps a young man (Gil) win her heart.
Aside from the fresh team-up of its lead stars, the film marks Dantes' third ABS-CBN movie after the hits "Segunda Mano" and "One More Try," for which he won back-to-back best actor trophies.
"She's the One" also stars Maricar Reyes, Liza Soberano, Tony Mabesa, Perla Bautista, Pinky Amador, Guji Lorenzana, RS Francisco, Marc Solis, Erika Padilla, Garlic Garcia, Daniel Matsunaga, LJ Reyes and Coleen Garcia.
