Actress Helen Gamboa revealed that there are people who are really encouraging her husband former senator and currently the head of Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) Vicente "Tito" Sotto III to run again for a national position for the upcoming 2010 polls.

"Ang daming nagko-convince sa kanya honestly and truthfully pero hindi naman siya kumikibo kasi nga gusto niya, siguro he is thinking about it. He is weighing things. Sabi niya ‘we will come to that,’" Gamboa told abs-cbnNEWS.com.

In the interview, Gamboa said that the former senator is still undecided on whether he will run again. The actress who described the senator as a quiet person said that his husband is seeking God's will through prayers.

"Although he is very quiet, kasi he is a quiet person, about what his plans are, what he wants to do he keeps it to himself. Unang una, ang ginagawa niya he prays about it," Gambo explains.

Gamboa said that if ever the former senator will decide not to run or to run again she and their family will just be on the former senator’s side to support him all the way.

"Well whatever will make him happy iyon ang belief ko. Kasi ang isang tao ay hindi mo dapat pilitin. Kailangan kung ano ang gusto niya doon siya magiging successful," she said.

The actress proudly shared that in their family they really respect each other's choice and support each other's plan. She said they encourage everyone follow what's in their hearts to make things successful.

"Oo suportahan lang talaga kasi kung pipilitin ko sila… kung half-hearted, hindi niya maibibigay ang kanyang puso or hindi niya maibubuhos ang loob niya so I think that’s pointless," the actress said.

Sotto, who was already a two-term senator, tried unsuccesfully to return to the Senate in the national elections last May 2007. He ran under the administration's Team Unity ticket.

Welfare of youth

Gamboa who is now gearing for another TV project is happy with her husband’s position as head of DDB. She said that  though she sometimes worry with Sotto's work she still gives her 100 percent trust and confidence because she knows that her husband is just after the welfare of the young ones.

"Kasi ngayon he is the secretary of DDB he is doing his job very well. Siya naman kasi whenever he assumes something he delivers 100 percent. So sabi ko nga, ako mismo natatakot ako, pwede kayang iba na lang, iyong ganoon. Sabi niya ‘no I’m concerned about the youth kasi it’s more of prevention rather than cure ang importante hindi ba.’ So what he does, he goes around the country  to inform the youth and how this will affect them in a very bad way. So awareness ang ginagawa nila, so he’s successful about it," she said.

Gamboa said aside from performing his reponsibilities in DDB, Sotto is also doing a film titled "Iskul Bukol."

If given a chance, Gamboa said she would love to do another television or film project with her sweetheart -- Tito Sen. "Oh yes, why not? That will be a different idea," she said.

Gamboa is reportedly gearing up for another television comeback.
