'It's Showtime' ratings overtake 'Eat Bulaga'
MANILA, Philippines -- "It's Showtime" is now the No. 1 noontime variety program in the country, according to the latest TV ratings data from Kantar Media.

The Kapamilya noontime show had a winning streak last week against its rival, Television And Production Exponents' (TAPE) "Eat Bulaga," as "It's Showtime" led the nationwide ratings game.
According to Kantar Media, the week-long 3rd anniversary special of "It's Showtime" drew in more TV viewers nationwide, compared to "Eat Bulaga," with 15% vs 14.8% (Oct 22); 16% vs 14.3% (Oct 23); 15.9% vs 12.9% (Oct 24); 19.8% vs 15.2% (Oct 25); and 20.9% vs 15% (Oct 26).
Last Saturday, the ABS-CBN program garnered a national TV rating of 19.7%, while "Eat Bulaga" only earned 14.5%.
During the October 27 episode of "It's Showtime," the victors of the program's 3rd anniversary celebrity showdown were announced.
The tandems of Anne Curtis and Karylle; Jugs Jugueta and Teddy Corpuz; and Vhong Navarro and Billy Crawford won P100,000 each for their chosen charity.
The competition among the hosts of "It's Showtime" is held annually in celebration of the program's anniversaries.
All three winning acts garnered a perfect score of 10 from "hurados" Eula Valdez, Jericho Rosales, Maricel Soriano, and talent managers Alfie Lorenzo and Cornelia Lee (Tita Angge).
