Jolo Revilla and Jodi Sta. Maria
MANILA, Philippines – It seems that things are starting to get serious between actor-politician Jolo Revilla and “Be Careful With My Heart” lead star Jodi Sta. Maria.

On Saturday, the two made a public appearance together during a fiesta at Barangay Panapaan 7 in Bacoor, Cavite as part of the promotions of Sta. Maria’s top-rating daytime soap. Revilla is the captain of the said barangay.

Also present at the festival were the rest of the “Be Careful With My Heart” cast members such as Richard Yap and Aiza Seguerra, as well as Revilla’s mother, Rep. Lani Mercado.

In a taped interview aired on “The Buzz” on Sunday, Revilla said of Sta. Maria: “Si Jodi ang nagpapatibok ng puso ko.”

“Action speaks louder than words, ‘di ba? Kung baga, siguro obvious naman,” he said when asked about his feelings for the actress.

While Revilla refused to reveal the real score between him and Sta. Maria, he kept on dropping hints to “The Buzz.”

“Siguro ibalato niyo na lang muna sa amin ‘yan, sasabihin namin ‘yan pagdating ng panahon,” he said, adding that his family, including his grandfather Ramon Revilla Sr., is “okay na okay” with Sta. Maria.

Sta. Maria, meanwhile, was at a loss for words when asked to respond to Revilla’s statements. “Hindi ko alam kung ano ang sasabihin ko,” she said, smiling.

Not their first public appearance

Mercado, Revilla’s mother, made it clear that this was not the first time that her son and Sta. Maria were seen together in public.

“Alam mo, nakikita naman sila eh, lalo na noong mga panahon na nasalanta ng bagyo ang lalawigan namin,” she told “The Buzz.”

“Pero ito ‘yung first time na walang problema, walang baha, eto purely fun, purely fiesta, kaya nagpapasalamat kami sa kanila,” she added.

Last September, Mercado and her husband, Sen. Bong Revilla Jr. thanked Sta. Maria for providing “inspiration” for their son amid preparations for his vice-gubernatorial bid in the upcoming elections.

Earlier, Sta. Maria referred to Revilla as “someone special” in an interview with “The Buzz.”

In March 2011, Sen. Panfilo Lacson confirmed the separation of Sta. Maria and her son Pampi, seven months after the two were reported to have been estranged.

The Kapamilya actress has one son with Pampi named Thirdy.
