MANILA - Contrary to rumors, actress Maja Salvador said her newest on-screen leading man, Coco Martin, is not courting her.

Salvador, the star of ABS-CBN's hit afternoon series "Nagsimula sa Puso",  said that she is unsure of Martin's feelings, but she is certain that the acclaimed independent film actor is not wooing her.

"Hindi ko nga ba alam kay Coco. (Pero) hindi po, hindi po nanliligaw," Salvador said.

The actress said the pair don't even get to send each other text messages that often.

Rumors of a brewing romantic relationship between the pair started when Salvador and Martin "became closer" after they started filming for their TV soap.

Asked if she feels that the actor is interested, Salvador replied: "Kami ni Coco okay naman kami. Biruan namin, sabi ko nga sa kanya, 'Puro ka parinig.' Sabi niya 'Mahina ka kasing makiramdam.'"

Salvador, called the "Horror Princess" because of her string of horror films, said she is "very traditional" when it comes to matters of the heart and does not take courtship lightly.

"Kasi para sa akin, iba ang meaning ng ligaw. Makaluma pa kasi siguro ako," she said.
