MANILA, Philippines – Kapamilya actres Angel Locsin admitted she is not expecting to bag an award in the upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) for her performance in the movie “One More Try.”

“I’m not hoping. So, wala 'yung stress,” the actress said in an interiview with Pep.ph.

Locsin, whose last MMFF movie was “Mano Po 5: Gua Ai Di” in 2006, said she would like to think that her performance is worthy of an award but she also pointed out that there are other seasoned actresses starring in various MMFF entries, led by Nora Aunor in Brillante Mendoza's "Thy Womb."

So better na lang not to expect. Siyempre tanggap naman natin, there’s Ate Judai (Judy Ann Santos), Ate Guy (Nora Aunor). Angelica (Panginiban) is also magaling,” she shared.

Despite this, Locsin said viewers should look forward to “One More Try.”

While refusing to divulge details about her character, Locsin said the movie is about a modern family.

Iba ang timpla ni Direk Ruel (Bayani), eh,” she said.

Apart from Locsin and Panganiban, the movie also stars actors Zanjoe Marudo and Dingdong Dantes.

Locsin believes all of them gave their best in the movie.

“Actually magkakaiba ang gagawin namin. Lahat kami daring.
