MANILA, Philippines -- (UPDATED) Actor Derek Ramsay on Twitter denied that he asked reporters to write articles against his former girlfriend Angelica Panganiban.

"I do not ask any reporters to say negative things about Angel. I wouldn't do that," said Ramsay, who became a hot topic on social media after Panganiban broke her silence on their breakup on Tuesday.

Panganiban, who was obviously irked by negative reports and write-ups about her, told her followers on Twitter to ask her anything. They then took up the challenge, with most of them asking about the real score about her split with Ramsay.

Asked of the real reason he and Ramsay separated, Panganiban replied: "Napagod na ko magtiis."

In an interview with Philippine Entertainment Portal, Ramsay said he does not think his former girlfriend is badmouthing despite her Twitter posts.

“You know, this Twitter thing is very new to me and I don’t think she’s doing it to badmouth me. Like I said, she was just expressing her opinion,” he told Pep.ph in an interview.

Ramsay also stressed there is definitely no bad blood from his side when it comes to his past relationship with the actress.

“You won’t hear me speak of Angel and the relationship that she has now. I just can’t wait for the day for people to stop asking or make up stuff about everything,” he told the website.

While Panganiban said she found their relationship trying, Ramsay still considers it a good one.

“That’s Angel’s opinion, I think. There’s nothing I can do if that’s how she feels. You know, the breakup happened a long time ago. She has a new relationship and I think the focus should be about that and not about what happened to whatever we had. If that’s how she feels, what can I do?” he said.

The former Kapamilya actor, however, admitted that it is sad that that’s how Panganiban feels about what they had.

“I think may tamang tao sa kanya. Kung she was with me, nagpilit o nagtitiis, I don’t think it was… I think it’s a good relationship. It’s just sad that it’s the case, that’s what she thinks,” he said.

“I don’t know, we broke up without getting on each other’s circle. It was a good breakup. But then after, there is she… it’s just weird,” he added,.

Despite this, Ramsay said he is still willing to face Panganiban if ever they cross each other’s paths.

“Ako, if I see Angelica, if I ever cross her path, I’d say hi and greet her, of course. I don’t know what to say because, for me, I don’t think there’s anything wrong. Angel and I decided to end our relationship a long time ago. I think when she’s ready and I’m ready, our paths will meet, maybe we’ll be good then,” he said.
