MANILA - Actress Roxanne Guinoo is back on primetime television as she stars in ABS-CBN's upcoming series "Dahil Mahal Na Mahal Kita."
In the said series, Guinoo will be reunited with her on-screen partner Sid Lucero. Guinoo and Lucero worked together in "Ligaw na Bulaklak."
"Maganda itong teleserye. Mamahalin talaga ng tao dahil sa kakaibang story. [Kapag napanood nila] doon nila makikita ang twist and all. Doon nila maa-appreciate ang character," Guinoo told "SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon."
Guinoo said that doing the series would be a lot easier for her since she already knows how to work with Lucero.
"Okay ka-trabaho si Sid. Oo, [na-excite ako] at alam kong hindi na magiging mahirap para sa akin na makatrabaho siya ulit," Guinoo said.
A story of love against all odds, "Dahil Mahal Na Mahal Kita" is well-acclaimed director Chito Roño's comeback in TV direction.
Guinoo said she is both nervous and excited to work with Roño, who made a name for himself doing horror flicks. The director is sometimes called "RP's M. Night Shamalayan" - a Hollywood director also famed for his thrillers and horrors.
"Sa pangalan pa lang, masisindak ka na po. Naniniwala kami na matutulungan kami ni direk Chito dito. At siyempre, kung ano ang gusto niya, ay page-effort-an naming dalawa [ni Sid]," Guinoo said.
"Dahil Mahal Na Mahal Kita," which will be aired soon on ABS-CBN, also stars actor Rayver Cruz and actress Nikki Valdez.
