ABS-CBN wins big at PMPC Star Awards for TV

MANILA, Philippines - ABS-CBN bagged several awards, including the Best TV Station award, at the 25th Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) Star Awards for TV held Tuesday night at Resorts World Manila.

Coco Martin won the Best Drama Actor award for his series "Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin" while Gretchen Barretto got the Best Drama Actress award for "Magkaribal."

Enchong Dee received the Best Single Performance by an Actor award for the "Parol" episode of "Maalaala Mo Kaya," while Comedy Queen Ai-Ai de las Alas won the Best Single Performance by an Actress award for the "Krus" episode of the same program.

Queen of Philippine Cinema Susan Roces was given the Ading Fernando Lifetime Achievement award while German "Kuya Germs" Moreno received the Master Star Builder award.

The Hall of Fame as Best Male Showbiz-Oriented Show Host award was given to King of Talk Boy Abunda, while the Longest Running Musical Show in Philippine TV History award was given to Nora Aunor's "Superstar."

Meanwhile, controversial couple KC Concepcion and Piolo Pascual received the Male and Female Face of the Night award.

  • Best Showbiz Oriented Talk Show - "The Buzz"

Hosted by 2011 Miss Universe 3rd runner-up Shamcey Supsup and actor Piolo Pascual, the 25th PMPC Star Awards for TV will be aired on Sunday, November 27 on ABS-CBN Channel 2.
