MANILA - Cristine Reyes, who broke up with actor Dennis Trillo months ago, was recently spotted with the actor in a Greenhills restaurant early this month.

There were speculations that they had gotten back together, but the sexy actress set the record straight during the press conference of her Metro Manila Film Fest movie “Ang Darling Kong Aswang” on Tuesday.

She said: “Isang beses lang ‘yon. Hindi na nasundan. [Nagkita kami] para maayos lang ‘yong nangyari before. At least wala na ‘yong maiiwang sakit sa past namin. May closure na. So, friends na ulit kami.”

When asked to describe how Trillo behaved, Reyes admitted that he was sweet that night. She quickly explained that he was just being a gentleman.

“Hindi naman ‘yon date na romantic date. Kumbaga date na catch up lang, kamustahan lang. Kasi tinatanong ako ng iba kung nagbalikan na daw ba kami. Sabi ko naman, hindi ‘yon balikan, wala lang ‘yon,” she said.

She didn’t deny though that the meeting paved the way for an open line of communication between them.

“Nagkakatext kami paminsan and close din naman ako sa family niya. There was one time na tumawag siya sa akin kasi nag-aalala siya dahil naospital ako, pero more than that wala na,” she explained.

When the subject about her supposed jealousy over Heart Evangelista’s closeness with Trillo came up, Reyes clarified that there was no truth to the rumors. She also denied that she sent a warning to Evangelista via text messages.

The fact that she’s not having troubles with anyone at the moment is something that Reyes is happy about.
