MANILA - It was a dream come true for international Filipina singer Charice when she met one of her idols, American R&B superstar Justin Timberlake.

In an exclusive interview with abs-cbnNEWS.com, Charice shared how happy she was when she got the chance to talk to Timberlake, the former lead singer of 1990s boy band ’N Sync.

"Finally, I met Justin Timberlake last November 4. Nagkaroon kami ng chance na makapag-usap at kinongrats niya ako [sa career ko]. (We had a chance to talk and he congratulated me on my career)," Charice said.

Charice, who claims to be a "big fan" of Timberlake, said she met Timberlake during the CS Board of Governors Gala at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles, California.

She said "yes" to performing at the gala event when she heard that Timberlake would be there too.

"Natutuwa ako noong sinabi niya kay sir (David Foster) na 'Where did you find this girl?' Kasi kumanta po ako doon sa gala. (I was happy when he told David foster, 'Where did you find this girl?' Because I sang at the gala)," said Charice who performed 3 songs at the gala.

Until now, Charice is hoping that she can perform onstage with Timberlake.

"He is a good performer. I admire him. He's so good at singing and he's great at dancing," Charice said in Filipino.

In his speech at the CS Board of Governors Gala, Timberlake said he was "really stunned" by Charice's performance.

"Thank you so much for inviting me here. I'm stunned with the talent Charice and Bryan (McKnight). This whole evening, I'm really blown away," Timberlake said.

Currently, Charice is taking a break in her mini-mansion at Tagaytay City. She is set to guest on ABS-CBN's ASAP '09 this coming Sunday (November 29).

After, she will be returning to the US before the year end to prepare for the launch of her first international album.

In December, Charice will hit the big screen as the voice of a chipmunk in the animated movie "Alvin and the Chipmunks 2." Report by Reyma Buan-Deveza, abs-cbnNEWS.com

Kaloka na ang accent mo. anyway, good luck to you and that your album will be a success. Keep your feet on the ground and always be proud of your race.

what?

be humble said: "as what lola oprah told u, be humble...sometimes pinoys observe that yumayabang ng konti ang dalagitang ito.." HOY be humble... what you said was classic filipino... basta may sumisikat ang unang lumalabas sa bungaga mo is "yabang niya!" classic pinoy, ini-initan ang kapwa at sinisiraan. i know it's cliche but this is crab-mentality. i'm not a big fan but i recognize that she's a great singer and she's going places. anong ine-expect niyo, mag ingles si charice ala pacquiao? it's the entertainment industry, sa hollywood. hinde sa ASAP, she needs to speak in a way that people understand her!

a note to GOD

nice song but it's irritating at the end of the song...
