MANILA, Philippines - Young actress Andi Eigenmann and her newborn baby, Adrianna Gabrielle, are set to leave the hospital today.

"I'll be going home tomorrow, Sunday," she told ABS-CBN's "E-Live" on Saturday.

Eigenmann said she is now doing well after giving birth via cesarean section on Wednesday.

She shared, "Nagsta-start na ako [maglakad-lakad] the other night. So 'yan, every now and then, tumatayo-tayo na ako para ma-practice na 'yung tiyan ko, masanay na ako."

Eigenmann said she had to undergo an emergency cesarean section because she had trouble going into labor.

"My water broke at 7 in the morning. It was already 4 p.m. and wala pa akong masyadong nafi-feel na contractions, so we had to go on an emergency cesarean because di na aabot sa 24 hours," she said.

She eventually realized that the said operation was a good call.

"When she was taken out, they found out that her umbilical cord was collared to her neck. So buti na lang, buti na lang talaga hindi na ako nagdalawang-isip," she said.

"It was funny kasi award-winning ang reaction ko. Sa dami-dami ng pwede kong sabihin nung sinabi na she was out, ang sinabi ko ay 'Yey!' At tinaas ko 'yung dalawang kamay ko, so medyo natawa 'yung mga tao."

Eigenmann said she was very happy when she saw her baby for the first time.

"When they put her on my chest right after [she came out], I cried because finally I could see her na. Sobrang I've been waiting for her to come out. I'm very happy," she said.

"There's no reason for me to be afraid or to feel that this is going to be hard because I know that there are a lot of people there willing to help and guide me through this," she added.
