Ruffa thankful for blessings, despite cold nights
After going through many problems and heartaches, actress Ruffa Gutierrez said that she can't ask for more now that she's blessed with almost everything -- a loving family, two pretty daughters, good shows, and a new award.
Gutierrez has just won the Star Awards Best Female Showbiz-Oriented Talk Show Host for the Sunday entertainment program, "The Buzz."
In an interview, the actress said that after all that she has been through, she remains focused and happy.
"Siguro, hindi na ako hihingi pa. Magpapasalamat na lang ako sa lahat ng blessings. Life could be worse, but I'm happy," she said.
"Malamig man ang gabi ko dahil wala akong mahal, pero nandiyan naman ang mga anak ko at mga nagmamahal sa akin like my family," Gutierrez said.
The actress recalled that it's already been 18 months since she decided to leave her husband, Ylmas Bektas, in Turkey.
With her two daughters, she went back to the Philippines, to the arms of her loving parents and her siblings.
"Eighteen months na mula ng bumalik ako from Turkey. Sa 18 months na yon, it's been a very fruitful journey. Na feel ko ang warmth ng Filipinos, yung pagtanggap sa akin. I just want to thank everyone for these blessings," the actress said.
Her father, Eddie, recently underwent an angioplasty while her mom, Anabelle Rama, had her uterus removed due to myoma. Both of them had successful operations.
Ruffa is currently part of ABS-CBN's hit television series "I Love Betty La Fea" with Bea Alonzo.
