La Greta on Claudine: I wish her luck
MANILA - Controversy magnet Gretchen "La Greta" Barretto is saddened by the decision of her sister, Claudine Barretto, to move to another network.
In an interview after the awarding ceremonies of the 23rd PMPC Awards for Television last Sunday, Gretchen said she, too, was caught by surprise.
La Greta said she only heard about Claudine's decision through her friends and news reports.
"Siyempre sumama ang loob ko ng konti or parang nalungkot. I think more than anything ay nalungkot ako ng konti," Gretchen said.
"Nalungkot ako dahil nawala ang pagkakataon na maka-trabaho ko ang kapatid ko na si Claudine. Pero siguro 'yon talaga ang gusto ng Diyos, na maghiwalay muna kami sa aming career. And I'm sure ay mabibigyan din kami ng chance later on na gumawa ng teleserye or whatever in the future," added Gretchen.
Gretchen admitted that she phoned her youngest sister to talk about the issue, but she said Claudine would not return her calls. She surmised that Claudine is probably not yet ready to discuss it.
La Greta said she respects the decision of her sister, adding that everything is okay between her and Claudine. She also said that she wished her luck.
Before the transfer issue, Gretchen and Claudine were scheduled to do a television series on ABS-CBN next year.
Gretchen announced that her TV series on ABS-CBN will push through. "Ang maiiba sa cast ay si Bea (Alonzo). Si Bea na po ang gaganap noong para kay Claudine."
The shooting will start February of next year, according to La Greta. -abs-cbnNEWS.com
