Anne warns vs bashing family: 'Papatulan talaga kita'
'It's Showtime' host thanks 'crazy followers' on Twitter
MANILA, Philippines -- Being the Philippines' most followed personality on Twitter, Anne Curtis has had her share of "bashers" on the micro-blogging site.

Shortly after a press conference held Friday by a fast food chain she endorses, the prized Kapamilya actress recalled an incident when she was compelled to address a user on the popular social networking site who made a degrading comment on her family.
"There was one before. [The 'bashing'] wasn't towards me, but it was towards my family. Inaway ko talaga," Curtis said.
"Ako talaga, if it's about me, okay lang, I won't make patol, block mo na lang 'yun eh. But if you say anything about my sister, or my mother, or my father even, papatulan talaga kita," the "It's Showtime" host added.
In November 2011, a Twitter user referred to Curtis' mother as a "Pinay maid" and to her father as an "Aussie loser guy." The post tagged the accounts of both the Kapamilya actress and her sister Jasmine.
At the time, Curtis responded: "How dare you talk about my family like that! You can say whatever you want about me but back off from my family."
Recounting the incident last Friday, Curtis said her "tweet" addressing the "basher" unwittingly enlisted the help of her followers.
"Ang nakakatawa, lahat ng followers ko resbak ko. So pag nakita nilang tini-tweet ko, 'How dare you talk about ganyan, ganoon,' hala, attack! Hanggang sa mamaya, wala na 'yung account, na-delete na niya," the actress said.
"That's why I'm grateful to all my followers talaga, because they aren't just followers. Because it's an instant feedback sort of relationship, parang iba na 'yung closeness with the followers, they get you right away," Curtis added.
In June, Curtis' number of followers on the micro-blogging site breached 3 million, ranking her above internationally renowned personalities such as Maroon 5's Adam Levine, Hollywood actors Ben Stiller and Leonardo DiCaprio and popular music producer and "X Factor" judge Simon Cowell.
As of writing, Curtis now has over 3.7 million followers on Twitter, making her the 184th most followed user on the micro-blogging site.
Referring to her "crazy followers," the Kapamilya star said, "May instant resbak ka na nga kaagad, because it's a day to day thing, and it's a constant thing. Ako pa everyday ako nagti-tweet, so kilalang-kilala na nila 'yung pagkatao ko."
