Comedy concert queen Ai-Ai delas Alas doesn't mind if there are rising comediennes in showbiz.

In an interview, the actress explained that the blooming careers of other comediennes like Eugene Domingo, Pokwang and others are just part of the development of the industry.

"Sabi nga nila, para magtagal ka sa posisyon mo, dapat may kalaban ka. Noong nagsisimula pa lang ako, mag-isa lang ako. Ngayon, ito na masasabi ko lang:  the more, the merrier. Maganda na maraming mga bago ngayon," delas Alas said.

The actress said she knew the time of new comediennes would come, and as a senior actress, she would just give way and let others rise and shine. 

Delas Alas believes that everybody is welcome to bring joy and happiness to people.

"Ganoon naman talaga. Maraming darating, maraming nag-start, ganoon talaga. Kailangang bigyan natin ng chance... lahat ay welcome para makapagpasaya ng tao," she said.

Right now, delas Alas is busy promoting her upcoming movie titled "Ang Tanging Ina Niyong Lahat."

The movie is one of the official entries for this year's Metro Manila Film Festival.
