Annabelle, Nadia begin court mediation
MANILA, Philippines – The court mediation between feisty talent manager Annabelle Rama and former actress Nadia Montenegro, in connection with their ongoing legal feud filed before the court in San Juan, opened on Wednesday.
The mediation is in connection with Montenegro's 14 counts of libel charges and other complaints filed against Rama.
It was officiated by the Quezon City Regional Trial Court starting Wednesday.
“Marami namang magagandang nangyayari sa buhay ko ngayon. Hinid naman lahat ng oras agad-agad perpekto or maayos agad. In the spirit of Christmas, ipinagdadasal ko naman lahat. Kahit si Tita Annabelle ipinagdadasal ko,” said Montenegro.
The cases of grave coercion and grave oral defamation, also filed by Montenegro against Rama, are set for mediation starting next week.
The former friends' feud stems from Montenegro's allegations of child abuse against Rama in relation to the talent manager's way of handling her children's showbiz careers.
The charges of child abuse against Rama, who is running for Congress next year, has since been dismissed.
Following this court mediation, it remains to be seen whether the spirit of Christmas will warm the cold hearts of Montenegro and Rama. -- Report from Mario Dumaual, ABS-CBN News
