'No temptations' for Christian before marriage
MANILA, Philippines -- Following the example set by his parents and grandparents, Christian Bautista is intent on sticking to a certain "design" in approaching a possible married life with his current girlfriend, Carla Dunareanu.
For the Kapamilya singer, living in together with the Singaporean actress will have to wait until after marriage.
"It’s my personal take para ma-avoid ang mga temptations," Bautista, 31, was quoted as saying by entertainment news website Push.com.ph. "May natural flow na gusto kong sundan, merong natural design na gusto kong sundan."
"We can have vacation together pero to live together for a long period of time before marriage, siguro ako lang, personally I’d rather not," he said.
Addressing rumors that he and Dunareanu have supposedly been living under the same roof, Bautista said, "Wala lang 'yan. 'Yung mga isyu ginagawa lang ‘yan para magkastorya, pero hindi totoo."
In an earlier interview, the half-Romanian, half-Chinese beauty said she and Bautista have in fact discussed plans of settling down.
"We definitely talk about it because if not what's the point of being in a relationship," said Dunareanu, who met the singer-actor when they worked together in the award-winning pan-Asian TV series "The Kitchen Musical."
For Bautista, the steady growth of his relationship with Dunareanu is in keeping with a certain "design" that can ensure a lasting partnership.
"Ito ang gusto kong design that was followed by my parents, my grandparents [and] by other people who made it work," he said.
