MANILA, Philippines -- How does Filipino boxing champion Manny Pacquiao patch things up with his wife Jinkee? With diamonds, no less.

Jinkee Pacquiao was seen sporting a diamond-encrusted ring during the opening of the Pacquiao couple's new novelty shop in Manila on Tuesday.

The wide silver band was reportedly a "peace offering" from Manny, after the couple had several public tiffs due to rumors of the boxer's alleged affair with actress Krista Ranillo.

"Nagulat na lang ako at naisip niyang magbigay [ng singsing]. Happy naman ako. At least may gift ako this Christmas. (I was surprised that Manny thought to give me a ring. I'm happy. At least I have a gift this Christmas)," Jinkee said, laughing.

In a July 2009 feature by the Inquirer, Jinkee had also stated that a Rolex watch she had worn that particular day was both a birthday gift and a "peace offering" from her husband. Rolex watches cost around P90,000 or more.

In the same report, Jinkee had answered questions about her husband's alleged infidelity and how she deals with jealousy in her marriage.

Those issues seemed far behind them on Tuesday's event, however, as the Pacquiao couple seemed happy and relaxed when they jointly answered questions from reporters.

Strengthened bond

Jinkee Pacquiao's diamond studded ring, reportedly a peace offering from her husband Manny Pacquiao.

In interviews with ABS-CBN News, the Pacquiao couple said their business partnership, with their new novelty shop, showed a "strengthened bond between them as man and wife."

Asked how much he loves his wife, Pacquiao answered: "Siyempre mahal na mahal ko 'yan. Asawa ko 'yan eh. Marami na kaming mga anak. (Of course I really love her. She's my wife. We have many children.)"

As for Jinkee, she said she loves Manny "200%." "Tinatanong pa ba 'yon? Siyempre, [mahal ko siya] 200%," she said with a playful swat on Manny's cheek when he said she loves him at a lower percentage.

As far as Jinkee is concerned, she has reportedly moved on from the Krista Ranillo controversy. She said all she cares about is keeping her family solid.

“Kailangan, for my family, for my children, I will survive. Kailangan i-surpass ko ang lahat. Kailangan maging strong lang talaga. Test lang ito ng Panginoon sa amin. I know naman na the Lord wants us (Manny and Jinkee) to be together,” she said.

(For my family, for my children, I will survive. I need to surpass every challenge. I need to be strong. God is just testing us. I know the Lord wants us to be together.)

She said she hopes the public will put rumors of Manny Pacquiao's extra-marital affairs to rest.
