MANILA, Philippines – Sharon Cuneta will stand as matron of honor in actress Ciara Sotto’s wedding.

Ciara, who is Cuneta’s cousin, is set to wed her non-celebrity boyfriend, Jojo Oconer, next year.

"Ninang si Mother Lily Monteverde (of Regal Films)... and definitely matron of honor ko si Tita Sharon," Ciara said.

Ciara, the youngest daughter of former senator Vicente "Tito" Sotto and Helen Gamboa, is part of Monteverde's newest film "Mano Po 6: A Mother's Love," which also features Cuneta.

In the interview, Ciara said she and her soon-to-be-husband are planning a Christian wedding. Ciara also said she wants her wedding to be solemn and private.

Ciara also assured that she is not turning her back on show business. She said she is still willing to do movie projects if there are offers.
